Joby
I have some bittersweet news to share with you all. My beloved seeing eye dog Yoyo is retiring after seven and a half years of faithful service. She’s been an incredible companion who has brought me immeasurable happiness and comfort with her unwavering dedication.
Yoyo has been by my side through thick and thin, guiding me through unfamiliar streets and crowded spaces, helping me navigate all sorts of challenges with her poise and ease. Her presence has been a source of strength and inspiration. I’m thrilled to see her enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
As one chapter closes, another begins. I’m excited to introduce you to my new seeing eye dog, Dash, all the way from Japan. Although we’re still getting to know each other, I can already feel a special bond growing between us. Dash is an exceptional dog, and I’m confident that he will be an invaluable partner in my life’s journey.
I’m deeply grateful to Japans ‘Chubu Guidedogs Association’ for their generosity in donating Dash to Hong Kong Seeing Eye Dog Services (HKSEDS). Their kindness and altruism have made it possible for me to continue to receive the remarkable support and guidance of a faithful furry seeing eye.
I also want to express my appreciation to HKSEDS for their tireless efforts in training Dash and matching us together. Their expertise and dedication have made this transition so much smoother.
Lastly, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be renaming my Facebook page to Seeing Eye Yosh, in honor of both Yoyo and Dash. “Yosh” means “good” or “excellent” in Japanese, which I believe is a fitting tribute to these extraordinary dogs who have brought so much joy and goodness into my life.
Seeing eye dogs are truly a gift in my life, providing me with safety, freedom, confidence, and boundless love. Thank you all for your unwavering support and love. I can’t wait to share more updates with you as Dash and I embark on this new journey together as an inseparable and unmatched team.
